How Do I Get Started with the WTA Program?

Non-WOC Certified Nurse or Wound Care Provider

If you are a non-WOC certified nurse or wound care provider and you currently work in a hospital, health care system or a home health facility, please contact your WOC nurse and ask him/her to become a WOCN-approved Course Coordinator to offer this Program in your healthcare setting.

If your facility doesn’t currently offer this this Program, please review a list of facilities near you that currently offer the WTA Program and are willing to accept participants.

WOC Certified Nurse

If you are a WOC nurse who would like to bring the WTA Program to your health care setting, please click here for more information. If you are interested in purchasing the course yourself to provide it to participants in a variety of settings, review the section on becoming a WOCN-approved Course Coordinator.

If you are an industry partner looking to provide the basics of wound care to your team to help them understand how products fit to the education, please contact wta@wocn.org for more information.

Cost of the Program

Cost of WTA Program is comprised of two parts:

  1. Flat fee of $2,500 for a two-year Program license. This fee allows the licensing facility/individual to enroll up to 100 nurses into the Program.
  2. Participant license fee of $150 per each nurse who participates in the Program.

Cancellation, Transfer and Refund Policies

The following policies apply to WTA two-year license fees (flat fee of $2,500):

  1. All cancellation, refund and/or transfer requests must be submitted in writing to wta@wocn.org.
  2. An approved WTA Course Coordinator must purchase a two-year program license within 30 days from the date her/his application is approved. If a two-year program license is not purchased during that time, application approval will expire and you will have to reapply.
  3. Requests to transfer the two-year program license from one Course Coordinator to another will be considered and accommodated on case-by-case basis.
  4. Cancellation requests for the two-year program license must be made within six (6) month after the license is purchased and will be considered on case-by-case basis. If a refund is requested and approved, only 50% of the flat fee will be refunded. No refunds will be issued on cancellations of the two-year program license fee if participant(s) has/have been enrolled and accessed program content.

The following policies apply to WTA participant fees ($150/each):

  1. All cancellation, refund and/or transfer requests must be submitted in writing to wta@wocn.org.
  2. Requests to transfer the WTA participant licenses will be considered on case-by-case basis and accommodated based on availability. No transfers will be honored once a course participant initiated training by accessing course content.
  3. Refund requests after 60 days from purchase will not be honored. If a refund is requested and approved, the participant fee will be refunded, less 20% processing fee.
  4. No refunds will be processed on cancellations of participant licenses if training is in progress.
