Fact Sheets
The following fact sheets were created by the WOCN Society's Clinical Practice Committees to assist the WOC professional in patient care. WOC professionals are encouraged to duplicate and distribute these fact sheets for use in the patient care setting.
Position Statements
The WOCN Society offers position statements in an effort to ensure that the most beneficial patient care is provided in the most cost-effective manner. Optimal management of patients with chronic wounds, ostomies or continence disorders involves interventions including appropriate and cost-effective supply use, and strategies to support the return of individuals to productive lifestyles.
White Papers
The WOCN
Society develops white papers to meet the needs of the membership. Topics for documents might result from the WOCN
Society's Strategic Plan, member surveys, or as a directive from the Board of Directors. White papers are used to inform and educate, propose activities to solve problems, and/or facilitate decision making by providing an extensive overview about a topic.
The task force/committee charged with developing the white paper examines the available research or published expert opinion about the topic.
