WOC NURSE WEEK
During Wound, Ostomy and Continence (WOC) Nurse Week, April 16-22, 2017, the WOCN® Society will recognize WOC nurses for the services they provide to millions of patients who suffer from non-healing wounds, ostomies, and urinary and fecal incontinence.
The Society believes that the right choice to care for patients with wound, ostomy and continence needs are nurses educated by WOCN Society-accredited Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Education Programs (WOCNEPs) and/or nurses who are certified through the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB®). Patients regularly recognize WOC nurses as advocates, champions, supporters, allies and resources.
The goal of WOC Nurse Week is to celebrate the work certified WOC nurses do for their patients, their workplaces and their communities every day.
