A Network of Caring Professionals; A Drive to Succeed

WOCN members know how beneficial membership is and what it means towards professional development. This campaign will help members spread the word about WOCN’s benefits and, as a result, help the Society continue to grow. No one knows the value of WOCN membership more than you, so consider sharing your experience! You'll not only help a fellow WOC Nurse, you'll also earn a reward.

The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society is launching “A Network of Caring Professionals; a Drive to Succeed” membership recruitment program. Simply by recommending two colleagues to join WOCN, you will receive a 30 percent refund of your 2008 membership dues (once they complete the membership application process)!

Follow these three easy steps to start recruiting and start saving!

  1. Approach a colleague about joining WOCN and tell them about the valuable member benefits you receive.
  2. Direct them to the online membership application where they can complete application for membership. Make sure your name is entered in the “referred by” line on the membership application so you get credit for recruiting them.
  3. After two candidates you’ve referred successfully complete the membership application; you will receive a check for $33 (30 percent of your membership dues). 


Rules of the program:

  1. Nominations made before March 3 or after August 31, 2008, are not applicable.
  2. Applications must be completed online. Paper applications will not be accepted.
  3. Members are only eligible to receive one check of $33. Recruiting more than two members does not constitute receiving multiple checks.
  4. The total refund issued does not include the cost of the journal and monies allocated to the Regions and Affiliates.

Our goal is to have WOC professionals working together to share their experience, knowledge, and information to benefit communities and ultimately patients. We cannot do this without you! Your active support in building a stronger society is vital to the growth of the field.

This program will run from March 3, 2008, through August 31, 2008, so spread the word and start reaping the rewards!
