- Pressure ulcers
- Leg ulcers
- Chronic wounds
- Ostomy and continence care
The WOCN Society also supports increases in federal funding for education and clinical and research opportunities to advance the profession, as well as, initiatives to provide access to cost-effective, outcome-based health care solutions and works to ensure that ostomy patients who receive services from home health care agencies have access to appropriate prosthetic equipment and supplies.
Through legislative consultants, who maintain an office in Washington, the WOCN Society has brought the WOC agenda to the attention of Congress and works tirelessly to inform members of Congress about WOC issues.
The WOCN Society advocates public policy positions, which advance access to care for people with wounds, ostomies, and continence disorders.
