Welcome to the Region/Affiliate Leadership Resource Center. This area has been established to provide a variety of valuable tools and resources to aid in your leadership position with the WOCN Society. Whether recruiting members or providing educational opportunities, all of the resources you need are now available at your fingertips!

Did you know? Your region/affiliate receives $12 for every current member who renews each year. The more members you have, the more money your region/affiliate will receive.

Resources to assist you with Membership Recruitment and Retention:

  • Sample renewal email to send to former members (PDF)
  • Sample welcome email to send to new members (PDF)
  • Take advantage of complimentary booth space at the WOCN Annual Conference (Contact Chris Brown, WOCN exhibits manager for additional information)
  • Request a member recruitment kit (brochures, etc.) by contacting the National Office. Kits can be used at local nursing schools, hospitals, universities, etc.
  • Guide to maximizing your monthly membership roster. Be sure to utilize the sample letters above to help bring back former members or simply to remind current members to renew – phone calls or emails.
  • Reach out to expired members via email/regular mail/cold calls (see sample recruitment emails).

  • Please notify the National Office when new officers have been elected to your Region/Affiliate.
  • Submit your region/affiliate’s current news for the next newsletter to Heather Martinek. The 2009 deadline dates are as follows: January 8, 2009, March 20, 2009, June 19, 2009, and September 21, 2009.
  • A series of conference calls titled “Ask the National” will be held. Schedule forthcoming.
