Call for Research Proposals

The Center for Clinical Investigation is pleased to announce a Call for Proposals for four research grants. The grants, generously funded by Sage Products (for studies related to perineal skin care), Hollister Inc. (continence related research), 3M (studies of venous leg ulcers), and WOCN Members (open to any area of research related to WOC nursing) are designed to foster clinical investigations by WOC nurses. If you are an RN and a WOCN Society member, you are eligible to receive one of these grants and are encouraged to apply.

Applications for this year's grants are due no later than March 14, 2008.

CCI Preview of Research Grant Proposals

To assist WOCN members interested in submitting research proposals to the WOCN CCI Grants Program, the CCI BOARD offers a service to PREVIEW RESEARCH PROPOSALS prior to the grant deadlines. CCI Board members will provide constructive feedback for revision of a research proposal with the goal of improving the quality of the proposal and its competitiveness for successful funding. Investigators may pose specific questions they have in a cover letter. Budget items are excluded from the preview. Proposal previews do not substitute for or indicate any final decisions about grant awards. All Center Board members may not be involved in all previews. Only research proposals that will be submitted to the WOCN CCI Grants Program in the upcoming funding cycle will be eligible for preview. Requests for preview will be accepted through December 14, 2007. Depending on the number of proposals received, feedback will be provided within 3-4 weeks of receipt of the request for preview. Preview by the CCI Board is not required for submitting an application and research proposal to the WCON CCI Grants Program.
