Did you know that over half of the US population has a Smartphone? In the last three years, usage to access apps and the internet has nearly doubled. Stores, companies and even organizations (WOCN Society included!) are developing apps and doing away with printed material.

WOCN researched the top most-used apps for the nursing and medical field and this is what we found! In answer to the age-old question-yes, there is an app for that.

Evidence-Based Wound Care Guidelines and Fecal Ostomy Best Practice Mobile App
Of course we had to mention the brand new app from WOCN first! While there are many medical and nursing apps, the WOCN app is the first and only of its kind. The Evidence-Based Wound Care Guidelines and Fecal Ostomy Best Practice combines four wound care guidelines and the fecal ostomy best practice to deliver quick answers to the bedside—or wherever they are needed. The app covers pressure ulcers, fecal ostomies, lower extremity arterial disease (LEAD), lower extremity neuropathic disease (LEND), and lower extremity venous disease (LEVD).
