Transportation - Airline

Located in nearly the geographic center of North America, no city is more centrally located than Minneapolis. Most major North American cities are within four hours by air.

The Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport is located 12 miles or 15 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. We are served by nine major regional carriers offering either non-stop or direct service in less than 2.5 hours from any U.S. city. Northwest Airlines is selected as the official airline for WOCN 2006, providing special discounted fares for applicable rates. You or your travel agent can contact Northwest Airlines at 1-800-328-1111 (Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. CT). To obtain the lowest fares, refer to the World File/Ticket Designator code of NYT24. Your travel arrangements must be made 30 days in advance of the official meeting dates. As a frequent flyer, you will receive full credit for all miles flown.

To obtain your tickets online through Northwest Airlines and receive your negotiated discount to available fares, WOCN attendees are classified as either a guest or Northwest Airline Member. In either case, point your browser to www.nwa.com and follow these easy directions:

  • On the Flights Tab, scroll to the bottom left side and click “NWA Discount Travel E-Cert Redemption”
  • On the next screen in the top right hand corner click “Login”
  • Once you click “Login,” either register as a member of Northwest Airlines using your WorldPerks Account Number or login as “Guest” by clicking on “Continue”
  • Once you have logged in, complete the fields to search for your flight. “MSP” is the code for Minneapolis Airport.
  • Once you have reached the box entitled “Do you have an E-Cert Fare, electronic voucher or meeting agreement?” click on “Meeting Agreement” from the drop box. This should bring up the Meeting WorldFile Number field; input the WOCN World File Number NYT24. This will entitle you to discounted rates for using the official airline for the WOCN 38th Annual Conference. Select your preferred arrangements.

Travel agents should point their browser to www.worldagentdirect.com.
