Social Media - Google+ and YouTube
In the last issue of WOCNow, you had the opportunity to take a short survey about your social media use. Your responses revealed a lot of good information for the Society to use in our future social media endeavors. Some of the statistics include:
  • More than 55 percent use Facebook
  • Over 50 percent would like to see a WOCN Google+ page
  • Thirty-one percent would like to see a WOCN YouTube page
The Society is listening! We're in the process of setting up Google+ and YouTube pages. Thank you for participating in our survey!

What is Google+?
This social network is a collection of different social products. In many ways it's similar to Facebook. Its features include: a Stream, Sparks, Hangouts (a video chat service), Circles (a friend management service), Games and Photos. It integrates your Google accounts, including Gmail and Google Docs.

View our videos on YouTube What is YouTube?

YouTube allows billions of people to discover, watch, and share originally-created videos. YouTube provides a forum for people to connect, inform, and inspire others across the globe and acts as a distribution platform for original content creators and advertisers large and small. Ever miss something at a meeting you wish you could have seen? YouTube will allow us to share those moments with you.

Member Benefit - Forums
The WOCN Society recently analyzed our website statistics and found that more than 3,000 posts have been made on the Forums since the launch of the new website last July. The Forums are a venue for members to communicate about special news, events or other information you want to share. The Forums include topics on:
  • Wound
  • Ostomy
  • Continence
  • Professional Practice
  • Coming Soon! Pediatric
Your fellow members of the WOCN Society are the best individuals to ask any type of question relating to wound, ostomy, continence, and professional practice related issues. These Forums provide a support network for questions and inquiries.
