In response to our members' concerns, we have found these are the best resources to access for providing assistance in the Hurricane Sandy disaster relief.

Do you know of an ostomate directly affected by Hurricane Sandy who is in need of supplies? If so, please contact UOAA or Diane Leigh Miterko.

Donate funds, volunteer and find out more information on how you can help through the following websites:

  • United Way Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund - contributions will be used by United Ways in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Washington, DC and West Virginia to address recovery needs in locations declared disaster areas by FEMA.
Please Note
Please do not send unsolicited donations. Confirm what is needed before donating. Please only send the items communities confirm that are needed at this time. Confirm the organizations needs before dropping off donations. This allows the organizations to be able to focus on the disaster survivors and meeting their needs at this time.
