New for 2015: Call for Sessions
Have you ever had an idea for a session you would like to see at Conference? Now you have the chance to share your idea! New for 2015, we are offering YOU the opportunity to LEAVE YOUR MARK and share your wealth of experience and knowledge by being a speaker for one of our conference sessions.
We invite you to submit a 300-word session proposal to share your expertise and knowledge at the WOCN® Society's 47th Annual Conference in San Antonio. Final selections will be based on the quality and clarity of the session proposal and relevance to the WOC nurse practice environment. The selected sessions will be featured in a concurrent session, one for each track, featuring these member created topics.
The Call for Sessions site is available now through Saturday, November 1, 2014, at 11:59 pm EST.
Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent by December 1, 2014.
The Call for Sessions is only open to current members* of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society. If you know someone who may be interested in submitting a session idea, but is not a current member of the Society, please direct them to www.wocn.org
Nonmembers are invited to join the Society by using the promo code: session5 to receive a discounted rate of $5 off membership! All submitters must be a current member by 11:59pm EST Saturday, November 1, 2014 in order for their session submission to be considered.

2015 Call for Abstracts
Leave Your Mark by submitting an abstract for the WOCN Society's 47th Annual Conference!
All accepted abstracts will be presented in some form during
the conference, available on the WOCN website and printed
in a supplement of the Journal of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing. Only accepted Research abstracts will be considered for oral presentations. If your abstract is not
accepted for an oral presentation, it will be presented as a poster presentation.
The Call for Abstracts site is available now through Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at 12:00pm EST. Submitters will receive decision notification in February 2015.
Sage Products, Inc. will provide the WOCN® Society an unrestricted educational grant to provide a limited number of travel scholarships to support first-time abstract presenters with a focus on Preventative Practices for Wounds. If your submission meets this criteria, please check off the first-time presenter button and make sure you choose Preventative Practices under the Wound category.

2015 Call for Research Proposals
The Center for Clinical Investigation (CCI) of the WOCN Society Foundation is pleased to announce the Call for Proposals for one 2015 WOCN Society Member's Research Grant in the amount of $10,000. If you are a registered nurse and current member of the WOCN Society, you are eligible to be a Principal Investigator of this grant and are invited to apply. Eligible international members may also apply.
Through this grant, the CCI and the WOCN Society aim to expand the existing research base for WOC nursing practice and facilitate WOC nurses to be engaged in research as clinical investigators. The 2015 WOCN Society Member's Research Grant will fund studies that aim to improve health outcomes of patients with WOC problems, strengthen the evidence base of WOC nursing practice, and enhance the delivery of WOC nursing care.

The WOCN Society's WTA Program
The WTA Program is an online wound care educational program geared toward non-specialty licensed wound care providers and medics/corpsmen. The purpose of the WTA Program is to prepare participants in all care settings to provide optimal care for patients with acute and chronic wounds under the direction of a WOC specialty nurse, WOC APRN, or physician. Upon successful completion of the Program, nurse participants will receive 21.0 contact hours.
