Celebrate with us! During Wound, Ostomy and Continence (WOC) Nurse Week, April 12-18, 2015, the WOCN Society will recognize WOC nurses for the services they provide to millions of patients who suffer from non-healing wounds, ostomies, and urinary and fecal incontinence.

The Society believes that the right choice to care for patients with wound, ostomy and continence needs are nurses educated by WOCN Society-accredited Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Education Programs (WOCNEPs) and/or nurses who are certified through the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB). This year, we're thanking our WOC nurses for the work they do all year during WOC Nurse Week, April 12-18, 2015.

Educators…researchers…decision makers…clinical experts. WOC nurses are the total package! These nurses play important, versatile roles in facilitating and enhancing care for patients suffering from non-healing wounds, ostomies and urinary and fecal incontinence that require both acute and rehabilitative needs.

The goal of 2015 WOC Nurse Week is to celebrate the work certified WOC nurses do for their patients, their workplaces and their communities every day. Here’s how you can take part:

WOC Nurse Brochure

This brochure provides an overview of the purpose, preparation (education and certification) and practice that make WOC nurses the right choice. It also provides information about the certification process and credentials available from the WOCNCB and describes the eligibility criteria. Share this brochure with your colleagues and administrators.
