WOCN Society Responds to CDC

The Society recently reported on the CDC's anti-smoking campaign video that negatively portrayed ostomates. Since our last report, the CDC has altered the online version of the video after speaking with representatives from the United Ostomy Associations of America; however, the televised campaign videos appear unchanged. The Society recently responded to the CDC and further encouraged them to change the campaign. Learn more.

This will greatly reduce the burden that many members have had with ordering DME in the past several years, and removing this barrier has been an advocacy priority for the Society. Read more.
