Apply Now for the 3M Award for Excellence in Skin Safety
3M and the WOCN Society have partnered to recognize and promote health care facilities and their WOCN members who have implemented a patient care regimen resulting in improved skin integrity or the maintenance of patients' skin health as they undergo treatment in a health care facility.
The 3M Award for Excellence in Skin Safety recognizes an individual or team for creating and sustaining a successful skin damage prevention program that demonstrates positive clinical outcomes, teamwork and knowledge transfer. The WOCN Society will award the winning program with a complimentary trip to the 2016 WOCN Society and CAET Joint Conference, to be held from June 4-8 in Montreal, Québec, Canada. An individual or up to four members of the winning team will be invited to attend the conference, with the award covering conference registration, airfare and lodging.

WOCN Member Receives New Appointment
WOCN member Dr. Tim Porter-O'Grady was recently named chair of the Board of Trustees of the American Nurses Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the American Nurses Association. Tim, a certified wound care nurse, was a popular speaker at several WOCN annual conferences. The WOCN Society extends its congratulations to Tim on this prestigious appointment.
