The WOCN Society recently sent a letter of support to Sen. Kemp Hannon and Assemblymember Kevin Cahill who have authored a bill currently before the New York State Legislature which would mandate coverage of ostomy supplies in the New York Child Health Plus program, S 01400/ A 01038. Currently, the state's child health program does not guarantee coverage of ostomy supplies. WOCN members in NY are spearheading the effort get this legislation passed.
