Please contact your members of Congress and ask that they support The Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act, which would allow APRNs to sign home health care for Medicare beneficiaries.

National Magnet Nurse of the Year®

The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) has announced the winners of the seventh annual National Magnet Nurse of the Year Award Program.

The Society would like to extend its heartfelt congratulations to Laurie McNichol, MSN, RN, CNS, GNP, CWOCN, CWON-AP, FAAN, for being chosen as the 2017 Magnet Nurse of the Year for New Knowledge, Innovations and Improvements. 
Laurie was selected for this honor due to her many efforts in enhancing the WOC specialty, particularly for her work with MARSI and the development of the Society's electronic clinical tools. Laurie is the fourth WOC nurse to be selected as a Magnet Nurse of the Year, which no doubt highlights the importance of our specialty and the passion of WOC nurses. Congratulations, Laurie!

Submit a proposal for Member Spotlight Session by Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, 11:00 am ET.

The topic must address the needs of nurses and allied health professionals who care for patients with WOC issues.
Call for sessions is open to current Society members, not including Corporate Members.
