However, you will be able to download all of the available handouts to the USB bracelet via the on-site print stations.

This inspirational event recognizes the achievements of people who have overcome Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, colorectal cancer and other conditions that can lead to ostomy surgery - and the caregivers who have helped them transition to life after surgery.
To support the WOCN Foundation and Youth Rally, we kindly request that registrants make a $20 donation to be split between these two worthy causes.

|Cycle For Scholarship Update...|
In just one week Dr. Katherine Jeter will be rolling into St. Augustine, completing her 3,100 mile long journey across the country. She embarked on her cross-country cycling tour over seven weeks ago to raise awareness of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) nursing and scholarships for nurses interested in pursuing the WOC specialty. To date, we have raised over $184,300. What an amazing accomplishment! Along the way, Katherine has been sharing stories of her trip on her blog, which is linked below.

The WOC Nursing Scope and Standards
The WOC Nursing Scope and Standards publication is essential to anyone practicing in the field. The information can be used to familiarize WOC nurses with where the profession came from, its current expectations and where it is evolving. Knowledge is power and that is precisely what these volumes provide---knowledge to begin dialogue with administrators, professors, politicians, patients and others to ensure that all decisions regarding WOC nurses come from a well-informed place. This document covers the following about the WOC nurse: a standard definition, inventory of the responsibilities as an advocate, overview of the role played in disease management, review of the expected ethics and values, requirements related to WOC nursing and professional accountability, identification of the specific steps involved in the WOC nursing process, framework for providing patient care, and an overview of the diverse practice environments in which WOC nurses contribute their specialized care.
