Fund the Future
Make a Difference.
Wound, ostomy and continence (WOC) nurses make a significant impact in patients’ lives every day. WOC nurses improve patient care across all settings through advocacy, patient and family education, research and the achievement of positive clinical outcomes (WOCN Society, 2010). WOC nursing is one of the few specialties recognized by the American Nurses Association (ANA).
Educational training and clinical practice are vital to the demanding, multi-faceted role of a WOC nurse. WOC Nursing Education Programs (WOCNEP) Accredited by the Society are an extremely important part of the future of the WOC nursing specialty. These specialty nurses can truly make a difference upon successful completion of a WOCNEP.
Your company can “Fund the Future” and support a future WOC nurse for a small contribution of $2,000. This contribution will financially assist a student that is attending a WOCNEP and will help with program tuition, application fees and textbook costs. Your support will not only provide the funding necessary to educate future WOC nurses, it will also increase awareness to the great work WOC nurses do everyday.
