Medical Adhesive Related Skin Injury (MARSI) is relatively new nomenclature for a commonly observed clinical complication. WOC nurses have an opportunity to define and champion best practice for the prevention of skin injuries for patients in all settings. Attend this webinar to ensure you are up-to-speed on this concept and the next steps for WOC nurses.

Building Consensus: Identification, Assessment and Prevention of Medical Adhesive Related Skin Injury (MARSI)

  1. Identify key assessment points needed to accurately differentiate medical adhesive related skin injury from related causes of skin injuries including moisture associated skin damage and medical device related pressure injuries.
  2. Describe strategies to prevent medical adhesive related skin injury (MARSI).

Description:

This session will further define the problem of Medical Adhesive Related Skin Injury (MARSI) and seek to establish consensus on key areas of assessment needed to identify the phenomena accurately as well as identify preventative strategies. Audience participation will allow you to help with this process.
