The WOCN Society works diligently to shape legislation that protects and strengthens the profession. The WOCN Society is committed to advancing legislative activity that promotes the benefits of WOC nurse involvement related to pressure injuries, acute and chronic wounds, ostomy and continence (WOC) care.

The WOCN Society supports increases in federal, state and local funding for education, as well as clinical and research opportunities to advance the profession. We support initiatives that provide access to cost-effective, outcome-based health care solutions. The WOCN Society works to ensure that all patients have access to appropriate supplies, equipment and services.

Through legislative consultants in Washington, the WOCN Society brings the WOC agenda to the attention of Congress and works tirelessly to inform members of Congress about WOC issues.
