ThePeristomal Skin Assessment Guide for Consumersis a useful tool for people living with an ostomy. With a few clicks, the tool helps identify common skin problems, provides next steps for care/management and refers the user to seek care from a WOC nurse or a nurse specialized in wound, ostomy and continence (NSWOC) for additional support, when necessary.
The WOC nurse and the NSWOC are the first resource for ostomy patients. Please share this tool with your patients as an additional resource to help enhance their quality of life.
