The purpose of this webinar is to provide the clinician with tools to develop individual treatment plans in order to maximize hydration and nutrition absorption, and in so doing, prevent kidney injury and improve quality of life for these patients. 
 
The purpose of this webinar is to provide the clinician with tools to develop plans for pharmacological management to support nutrition and hydration management (discussed in the August 14 Webinar) to aid with output management to prevent dehydration, to prevent kidney injury, and to improve the quality of life for these patients.
 Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify the potential complications of high stoma output.
  2. Apply step-by-step interventions to maximize both nutrition and hydration status of the individual with high stoma output.

  1. Apply step-by-step Pharmacological interventions to decrease the output from a high output stoma.
  2. Discuss the risk and benefits of select medications used for management of high stoma output.
