Education Is Power
November 11-15, 2019, is Career Development Week! Continuing education is at the heart of nursing career development. Did you know that Nurse Planners are crucial to the creation and development of accredited continuing education activities? Nurse Planners often advocate for changes in nursing education to stay current with practices that enhance patient outcomes and promote nursing career development opportunities.

To celebrate Career Development Week, we've created five bite-sized learning courses that promote WOC nursing career development! These courses are tailored to Nurse Planners and describe WOCN's continuing education development process which is in compliance with ANCC guidelines.

After successfully completing these courses, Nurse Planners will be able to confidently perform tasks related to:
  • Gap analysis, educational need, and learning outcome formulation
  • Content integrity / conflict resolution
  • Summative evaluation
  • Pilot study
The information and opinions shared in these courses are representative of how WOCN implements ANCC criteria and policies. WOCN does not represent ANCC. Please seek the Lead Nurse Planner for your accredited provider unit, or the ANCC, for specific guidance for your continuing education programs.
