Empower the WOC Nurse in You
 with Self-Care
SELF-CARE
Self-care, while a simple concept, can be a tough focus for healthcare professionals. In order to take better care of your patients, you must first learn to take care of yourself.

If you don't know where to start, join Dr. Paul Nathenson and Nancy Nathenson at WOCNext 2020 for  Application of Hettler's Six Dimensions of Wellness Model to Self Care & Professional Nursing Practice to get empowered to practice self-care to self-manage your emotional, occupational, physical, social, intellectual and spiritual wellness. This session will review the fundamental topics of health, wellness, self-care and self-management relevant to Dr. Bill Hettler’s Six Dimensions of Wellness Model.

View the WOCNext 2020 Preliminary Program to discover which additional sessions will enhance your professional and personal needs.
New Episode of WOCTalk
Listen to this week's WOCTalk episode: Deep Dive into the Continent Ileal Reservoir.

In this episode we sit down with Karen O’Brien, CWOCN, from the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Cleveland, OH. to discuss the Kock Pouch surgical procedure, more commonly referred to as “continent ileal reservoir”, “Barnett pouch”, and “K-pouch.” Karen talks about the types of patients that are appropriate candidates for this procedure, surgical complications, and the role the WOC nurse plays in assessing and treating people living with K-pouches in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and tips for people living with K-pouches.
Subscribe to WOCTalk so you never miss a new episode!
What Are Your Public Policy Needs?
We're asking all WOCN members to complete a short survey about public policy and advocacy efforts related to the WOC profession. This survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete.

We appreciate your time and contribution to this important public policy process.
