Get emPOWERed by Consulting as a WOC Nurse

Wound, ostomy and continence (WOC) nurses are recognized for their skills and expertise and are frequently called on to serve as consultants in both internal and external roles. The WOCN Society's emPOWERed Program features the Professional Practice Manual, Fourth Edition. This recently-updated publication includes a full chapter on consulting, which consists of an overview and its relevance to WOC nursing, as well as types of consultative roles, how to conduct consultations, how to establish and maintain a consultant role, ethics and legal implications of consulting, and considerations in contracting for services and reimbursement as a consultant.

Learn more about the Professional Practice Manual, Fourth Edition and the other components of the emPOWERed Program.
