Pressure ulcer prevention and safe patient handling:

Can they be combined?

Register now
for the second free webinar in this year's Partners in Prevention educational series.

When: Wednesday, July 15, 2015, from 1-2 PM (EST)

Presenters: Joyce M. Black, PhD, RN, CWCN, FAAN

Description: Patients at risk for pressure ulcers are often the same patients for whom safe patient handling is needed. A momentary choice of whether to move a patient alone or wait for help can lead to serious injury. However, the majority of injuries are repeated microtears of the soft tissue leading to long-term pain and even disability. This session will discuss how wise choices in equipment can permit the patient to be moved and reduce harm to you and your staff.

Objective: At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to understand how care givers can manage pressure ulcer prevention without experiencing microtrauma.

This free webinar is supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Sage Products.
