Learn More about the WTA Program

1. Did you know that more than 70 facilities across the US offer the WTA Program? View a list of facilities that currently offer the program and are able to enroll external participants.

2. Since its inception in 2012, more than 1,500 participants have enrolled in the WTA program. More than 1,100 participants completed the course with a 95% passing rate.

3. According to a 2014 survey, these are the top three reasons why WOCN members chose to bring the WTA Program to their facilities:
  • Recognizing a need for more nurses on the floor to understand and deliver proper/better-quality wound care recommended by the CWOCNs;
  • Making a decision to add more qualified personnel and expanding the wound care team at the facility; and
  • Understanding the need for evidence-based wound care knowledge at the clinician level.
