The Food and Drug Administration is held a virtual “Wound Healing Scientific Workshop” on April 28-29, 2022 to discuss non-healing chronic wounds. During the 2-day workshop, FDA and wound-healing experts outline the landscape of and review current standards for product development in the field of non-healing chronic wounds, as well as identified challenges of implementing and conducting clinical trials, discuss potential solutions to overcome these challenges, and explore how current research in wound healing can be applied to promote innovative product development. The FDA also solicited feedback from groups about specific questions the agency had with regard to wound care and product. WOCN submitted the following comments in response to their request.
