Society Supports Application For New Catheter Coding
WOCN sent a letter to CMS in June asking that they approve a new coding application to expand language for intermittent catheters. As you know, often times patients are limited to what catheter they can use based on any number of factors, but our coding system for these devices does not meet the variety of products available to meet those patient needs. The coding application would expand the number of codes available for catheters threefold to give providers more flexibility to meet patient needs.
