In Response to Hurricane Ida

Hurricane Ida made landfall last week and affected much of the South East and North Eastern areas of our country, particularly Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York. The category 4 storm caused many to evacuate their homes due to massive flooding, damages, and power outages. On behalf of the WOCN® Society Board of Directors, our thoughts are with our WOCN members and their families during this time.

It’s in a nurse’s nature to want to help during times of disaster. WOCN has received inquiries from members on how they can help those affected by Hurricane Ida. To find ways you can donate your money or time to support victims impacted by Hurricane Ida, please visit the following sites:

Thank you for your continued support and efforts to help Hurricane Ida survivors. We hope you and your families continue to stay safe.

Sincerely,

Dea Kent, DNP, RN, NP-C, CWOCN,
President of WOCN Society President
