Your OCA Program Options

 

There are various ways to get started with the OCA Program. Depending on what your role in the WOC care community is, you can enroll in the program, facilitate the program, or add the program to your facility’s current education curriculum.

OCA FOR NON-CERTIFIED WOC NURSES

 

If you are an ostomy care provider, or a licensed healthcare provider seeking additional knowledge in ostomy care, the OCA Program is for you. If you currently work in a hospital, healthcare system, or home health facility, contact your WOC nurse and ask him/her to become a WOCN-approved OCA Course Coordinator to offer this Program in your healthcare setting.

OCA FOR CERTIFIED WOC NURSES

 

If you’re a certified WOC nurse who would like to bring the OCA Program to your healthcare setting, get more information on the application process and complete the Course Coordinator and/or Clinical Skills Instructor application now.

 

OCA APPLICATION

PROGRAM COST

The cost of the OCA Program is comprised of two parts.

Fee of $2,500 for a three-year Program license that allows the licensing facility or individual to enroll up to 100 nurses into the Program.

Participant license fee of $150 per each nurse who participates in the program.

CANCELLATION, TRANSFER, & REFUNDS

Policies for OCA Three-Year License Fees

The following policies apply to OCA three-year license fees (flat fee of $2,500):

1. All cancellation, refund, and/or transfer requests must be submitted in writing to oca@wocn.org.

2. Requests to transfer the three-year program license from one Course Coordinator to another will be considered and accommodated on case-by-case basis.

3. Cancellation requests for the three-year program license must be made within six (6) month after the license is purchased and will be considered on case-by-case basis. If a refund is requested and approved, only 50% of the flat fee will be refunded. No refunds will be issued on cancellations of the three-year program license fee if participant(s) has/have been enrolled and accessed program content.

Policies for OCA Participant Fees

The following policies apply to OCA participant fees ($150/each):

1. All cancellation, refund, and/or transfer requests must be submitted in writing to oca@wocn.org.

2. Requests to transfer the OCA participant licenses will be considered on case-by-case basis and accommodated based on availability. No transfers will be honored once a course participant-initiated training by accessing course content.

3. Refund requests after 60 days from purchase will not be honored. If a refund is requested and approved, the participant fee will be refunded, less 20% processing fee.

4. No refunds will be processed on cancellations of participant licenses if training is in progress.
