Episode 12 Using a Collaborative Team to Reduce Pressure Injuries Originating in the Perioperative Division

In this episode of WOCTalk, we sit down with Laura Phearman, BSN, RN, CPNP, and co-author of a merit award winning poster in the Practice Innovation category at the WOCN Society 50 th Annual Conference titled, “Using a Collaborative Team to Reduce Pressure Injuries Originating in the Perioperative Division (POD)”. During our discussion, Laura speaks to us about the formation of an interprofessional operating room hospital-acquired pressure injury (HAPI) prevention workgroup. Since its inception in 2014, this group of individuals worked to review literature and identify evidence-based strategies to implement in the Perioperative Division (POD) to reduce HAPIs.
