50TH ANNIVERSARY NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER CONFERENCE
This annual regional conference brings together WOCN members to collaborate for a two-day educational event. The program is designed to provide evidence-based knowledge of the latest techniques, applications and treatments related to wound, ostomy, and continence issues.

July 31 – Challenges in WOC Practice Submission Due
August 1-7 – Challenges Review Window
August 7 – Challenges Notification of Acceptance
August 7 – Poster Submissions Deadline (Rolling Admissions)
August 14- Notification of Poster Acceptance
August 19 – Early Bird Rate deadline
August 21 – Challenges Speaker Paperwork Due AND PowerPoint of Presentation for review by CE Committee.
September 1 – Deadline for Conference Funding Support Scholarship
September 1 – Nomination Deadline for Nurse of Distinction Award
September 15 – FINAL Challenges PowerPoints Due
September 15 – Deadline for when scholarship applicants notified via email
September 18 – Deadline for Poster Presenters to be registered for conference AND Final Poster PDFs due

CHAPTER MEETINGS
Membership education meeting via Zoom. The New England Chapter of the WOCN Society holds chapter Zoom meetings three times a year in conjunction with educational conferences. Chapter meetings provide a forum for discussion of professional issues affecting WOC/ET nursing practice and provide an opportunity to keep abreast of regional activities. Submit concerns to the New England Chapter President for inclusion in any meeting’s agenda.
LOCAL NETWORKING COMMUNITIES (LNC)
Connecticut WOCN
The Connecticut WOC/ET nurses meet the second Thursday of the month from 3 – 5 pm, September through June. This 40 member area group meets for networking and support. The group serves as a forum for discussion of professional issues, clinical concerns and new treatments/technologies.

Southern Maine WOCN
Educational gatherings Occur every other month on the third Thursday of January, March, May, July, September, November at 5:30 – 8pm. Typically we gather in Freeport at a local restaurant (subject to availability). RSVP’s are required.
We gather for a dinner presented by a CWOCN through the support of a vendor/sponsor. The sponsors and topics vary between the three specialties.
