Episode 149 Four Eyes Method: A Data-Driven Approach to Pressure Injury Prevention

On this episode of WOCTalk, we sit down with Sandra Fasing, author of the WOCNext® 2025 poster, “Utilizing Four Eyes Methodology to Identify a Risk Window for Hospital-Acquired Pressure Injuries (HAPI),” to discuss her research trial investigating a specific trend of pressure injuries spiking on day five of patient stays. Sandra explains how she expanded the dual-nurse assessment to occur every four days, aiming to identify wounds during this critical risk window rather than relying solely on admission checks.
