Bonus Episode 10 How WOC Nurses Can Make a World of Difference

During this special bonus WOCTalk episode, we sit down with Kim Fields, BSN, CPN, CWOCN, a certified wound, ostomy and continence (WOC) pediatric nurse at Hershey Medical Center, to discuss her international medical and mission work. Kim has provided WOC health care for underserved populations in places like Africa, the Amazon Jungle, Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and she has volunteered with The Youth Rally.

Kim discusses how learning about different cultures has improved her health care and has helped her grow as an individual and a nurse. Kim discusses ways to get involved in international service-learning trips and ways to help in your local community. Kim provides tips for anyone who is interested in participating in international service trips.

This podcast and WOC Nurse Week 2020 were commercially supported by a restricted educational grant from Smith & Nephew.
