Thanks to the WOC care communities’ engagement, our recent call to action on competitive bidding reached far and wide. Here are some quick highlights:
- Through social media, our message was seen more than 17,000 times.
- Our WOCNow enewsletter drew a 35% open rate, well above the industry average.
- Through our LinkedIn newsletter, we reached over 9,000 impressions with an incredible 44% open rate.
Our community came together to submit comments, letters, and shared posts to protect access to essential ostomy and urological supplies. The WOC nurse was recognized in The Washington Times, as well as letters submitted by the Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders and the United Ostomy Association of America (UOAA). Additionally, representatives from WOCN® presented a presentation with the ITEM Coalition amplifying our message in support of patients and access to care.
We will not know the outcome of these efforts until the final ruling in December. If we are not successful, please know that our advocacy will not stop. We will continue to stand together and fight to protect access to the care and supplies that patients depend on.
Thank you for your dedication and for raising your voice. Together, we are stronger.
