Episode 17 Addressing Sex and Intimacy: The Ex-PLISSIT Model in Practice

 

On this episode of WOCTalk, we sit down with Bridget Taylor, PhD, MSc, BA(Hons), RN, to get a sneak peek of what to expect during her upcoming session at WOCNext 2019 titled, “Addressing Sex and Intimacy: The Ex-PLISSIT Model in Practice”. Bridget Taylor is a Senior Specialist Nurse in the community palliative care team at Sir Michael Sobell House hospice in Oxford (UK). In addition to her clinical work, Bridget has been a senior lecturer at Oxford Brookes University for over 20 years, teaching a variety of courses on sexuality, end of life care and research methods. Her doctoral research explored the experiences of sexuality and intimacy for patients and partners of patients living with a life-limiting illness. Bridget has published extensively and her co-authored Extended PLISSIT model for addressing sexual well-being has been widely adopted.
