Episode 23 Preventative Practices for Wounds in a Critical Care Setting

 

On this episode of WOCTalk, we sit down with Rhonda Sullivan, DNP, PhD, MSN, MBA, CWON, LNCC, NE-BC. Dr. Sullivan has 26 years of experience, 19 of which have been dedicated to the wound and ostomy specialties. Rhonda is a Board-Certified Nurse Executive, Wound and Ostomy Nurse and Legal Nurse. She currently serves as a Quality and Safety Clinical Specialist where she serves as clinical support to healthcare facilities seeking to improve patient outcomes. She is a published author, researcher, medical legal expert and international speaker on pressure injury and deep tissue injury prevention. Her recent high scoring abstract at the WOCN Society’s educational event, WOCNext, earned her the Top Scoring First Time Poster Presenter Award in Preventative Practices for Wounds. This poster evaluates the Norton Pressure Sore Risk Assessment Scale (Norton Scale) for use in the critical care setting.
