With aligned missions and values, both organizations recognized an opportunity to collaborate in order to provide greater education and ongoing support to wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) nurses, multi-discipline clinicians, healthcare providers, and caregivers with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes.

Relias, a software company specializing in education for healthcare providers, maintains a rich history of delivering innovative learning products and training programs to the post-acute care, behavioral health, and acute care markets. By elevating the performance of care teams, Relias measurably improves the lives of the most vulnerable members of society and those who care for them. Joining these two premier organizations with a focus on acute and post-acute care will further fortify WOCN’s ability to educate across the care continuum.

“We are proud to introduce this new collaborative partnership to our members and community of WOC nurses and healthcare providers,” said Stephanie Yates, President of WOCN. “Our mission is to ‘advance the practice and delivery of expert healthcare to individuals with wound, ostomy, and continence care needs,’ and collaborating with a recognized leader in education and training for wound, ostomy, and foot care, is one of the many ways we are delivering on our mission and taking education and professional development to the next level. Thank you, Relias, for also recognizing the mutual benefits our partnership can bring. On behalf of the Society, welcome to the WOC Community of Opportunity™.”

“Through the partnership with WOCN, Relias is excited to offer additional resources and support to our wound care, ostomy, and continence certified clinicians, who throughout COVID-19 have proven to be critical to supporting and sustaining a robust infection control program,” says Darius Matthews, Vice President of U.S. Marketplaces at Relias. “We are looking forward to sharing more with our wound care clients, learners, and alumni over the next several weeks.”
